ARO, Wellington. 

On the corner of Willis, Vivian and Victoria streets in Wellington, ARO townhouses, with their low-rise laneway setting were designed by Director of architecture+, Stuart Gardyne​. "It's rare to find a townhouse in the city with its own piece of land and rooftop terrace". “We’ve created an inner-city neighbourhood with a connection to laneways ... there will be a degree of separation and privacy from streets but there is really good connectivity.  People will be able to casually hang out on their front door step and have a cup of tea or a beer – we're trying to encourage a community of people as opposed to being fairly anonymous or just meeting someone in a lift." The ARO project is shortlisted for a 2024 NZIAA Award.
